You can see right through the girders holding up the el trains downtown. They say that some of Chicago’s sewage runs through “pipes” made out of hundred-year old tree trunks. As for the water we drink…. don’t worry about that, because they’re gonna build new freight yards, new broadband networks, maybe a high-speed train to Minneapolis and definitely a few more runways out at O’Hare!
Chicagoans need to press hard to make people’s needs come first. Corporate-led development is an immense dead-end for the rest of us.
